Grand Yoga Mahakumbh Held in Delhi – Yoga is the Soul of Our Sanatan Culture | Dr. Abhishek Verma

New Delhi [India], June 16: The All India Yoga Teachers Federation (ABYSM Foundation) organized the grand 2nd Yoga Mahakumbh at Lajpat Bhawan, Delhi. The event was graced by chief guest Dr. Abhishek Verma — noted Sanatani leader and industrialist — who highlighted the deeper essence of yoga, stating, “Yoga is not just a process of physical purification; it is the soul of our Sanatan culture.”

The federation is a body in India dedicated to the welfare of yoga teachers and their interests. During the program, more than 200 yoga teachers, including Mr. Yogi and Miss Yogini title holders, were honoured for their contribution. Dr. Verma and his daughter Nicole Verma were warmly welcomed by National Treasurer Ms. Monika Sharma.

The program began with Vedic chants, filling the atmosphere with spiritual energy. Distinguished guests included Yoga Guru Amit Dev, Vastu expert Pradeep Jain, Lt. Col. Amardeep Singh, among many others. A special highlight was the release of the book 21 Yoga Heroes during the event.

The contribution of the Hon’ble Prime Minister in placing yoga on the global stage through International Yoga Day was acknowledged. Efforts under the AYUSH Ministry — including Fit India Movement and Digital Yoga Campaign — were also appreciated for bringing yoga to every household.

Acharya Pawan Dutt Maharaj noted, “Yoga leads humanity towards true humaneness.” Senior news anchor Deepak Chaurasia shed light on the valuable work of the federation.

Impressed by the exceptional yoga performances of children, Dr. Verma awarded cash prizes of ₹21,000 each to four young talents. The program was anchored by Manish Mishra (Monu).

This Yoga Mahakumbh marked a significant milestone in advancing the mission of promoting yoga across the nation.
