The story of M R STEEL began in 1987, when Nitesh Agarwal’s father, Mr. Meghraj Agarwal, started the business with an initial loan of ₹50,000 received from a relative. What began as a modest enterprise was gradually developed through persistence, customer relationships, disciplined business practices and a strong focus on service. Nearly four decades later, the organisation has grown into a business generating more than ₹100 crore in annual revenue. Under this approach, M R STEEL has expanded beyond conventional steel distribution and developed capabilities around specialised grades, ready stock and value-added processing. The company serves customers across industries including automotive, heavy engineering, mining, infrastructure, fabrication, OEM manufacturing, mould and die applications, tool rooms and general engineering. Its product portfolio includes grades such as C45, EN8, EN19, 4140, 20MnCr5, P20, 1.2311, 1.2379, D2, 40CrMnMo7, IS 2062 E250 and E350, along with specialised wear-resistant steel such as Rockhard 400. The company has also strengthened its processing capabilities through services including six-side cutting, edge smoothing and cut-to-size solutions. For Agarwal, this evolution reflects a broader understanding of growth. “Growth is not only about supplying more steel. It is about creating greater value for every customer,” he believes. Today, M R STEEL serves more than 500 customers and has developed a presence across markets including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The company’s progress has been shaped not only by increasing scale but also by its efforts to offer customers specialised materials and processing solutions suited to their individual requirements.
